Earl Powell
A Slaton man will serve two and a half years in prison for failing to come to the aid of the man he hit with his car.
The jury also ordered Jesse Garcia to pay a $4,500 fine. Tuesday, that same Lubbock jury found Garcia guilty of failure to stop and render aid.
72-year-old Earl Powell died from the injuries he suffered in the 2002 collision.
