Remember that outbreak of Hepatitis A in Dickens County? Health officials have traced the source to a homemade ice cream fundraiser as part of May Day celebrations last Saturday in Spur.
If you were in line in time for a taste of the ice cream available that day, you need to come in now for a shot of immune globulin to protect against Hepatitis. The Texas Department of Health is offering those shots free Monday at Spur Elementary from 9am - 8pm, then again on Tuesday from 9am - 1pm at Spur High School.
If you can get this shot within two weeks of exposure, it's pretty effective.
