It's been one week since an outbreak of tornadoes ravaged the South Plains and citizens are still cleaning up.
Storm chasers say at least two tornadoes hit down near Ralls about 9pm last Thursday night. Farmers saw the most damage in their equipment, fields, and barns, but two houses were severely damaged.
Ralls police say there were no major injuries, and they feel very lucky that the damage hit the outside of town. "I've been in law enforcement several years, and been through several storms, but never like this. What's ironic is that it was so bad but we were very fortunate that there wasn't much damage in the town as we thought there was gonna be," Chief Kyle Kucauskas.
The Ralls Police Department is planning to discuss emergency planning next week, as a result of the tornadoes.
