The days are numbered for Texas legislators to reach an agreement on a public school finance plan.
Both the House and Senate have submitted their versions. Thursday, negotiators met for the first time to discuss the differences in the two plans.
Lietuenant Governor David Dewhurst says lawmakers need to come to an agreement by this weekend or else the session may end without a plan.
