LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

You are invited to join the Project Linus project to make blankets that provide comfort and security for local kids.

Saturday, Nov. 19, is the annual workday when all ages are invited to share the mission and make blankets for kids who need them.

You don't need to know how to sew. You can make blankets just by tying knots.

So, bring a blanket in progress or come help someone else make a blanket.

The Project Linus workday is Nov. 19 at the Lubbock Christian University Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Already, the Lubbock Linus Chapter has made nearly 13,000 handmade blankets for local children who have experienced trauma, tragedy or illness.
