Two Lubbock Weekend Events Planned To Pay Tribute To Armed Forces

The Science Spectrum will pay tribute to those who protect our freedom with the Armed Forces day celebration. The event coincides with the grand opening of the new Omni theater film "Fighter Pilot." Activities start at noon Saturday and go until 5 p.m. A special ceremony and flyover will begin at 2 p.m.

Then on Sunday, military members and their families will be honored at the West Texas Troop Salute. The Lone Star Amphitheater is hosting the event which will include free food and entertainment. The salute begins at 12:30 Sunday afternoon.
