TTU Students Honors Estacado Students For Breaking Sound Barrier

Some Estacado students are being recognized as the first high school group in the nation to break the sound barrier with a rocket using solid fuel.

Texas Tech University honored the students with a reception Tuesday afternoon. Over the weekend, the students put their rocket to the test near Amarillo and broke the sound barrier. The students are enrolled in an engineering magnet program.
