Police searching for suspects in robbery at Wiley's BBQ

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock Police Department is searching for two suspects in an aggravated robbery at Wiley's BBQ Saturday night.

According to police, they received a phone call around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night to 1805 Parkway Drive about a robbery in progress. The owner of Wiley's BBQ told police two men entered his restaurant after it was already closed. The owner told then men they were closed for the night, and the males continued into the building and demanded money. One of the suspects struck the owner on the head with a metal pipe causing him to fall, and then hit him again on the head with the pipe. The two men then stole personal items from the owner's pockets and items from an open safe. They fled the scene northbound on Redbud Avenue.

The owner believes the suspects were in their late teens or early twenties. Lubbock Police describe the men as two unknown black males wearing all black. The owner was treated by EMS but refused to be transported to the hospital.
