Activities Planned for Memorial Day

City offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. It's an official holiday for city employees.

The Third Annual Memorial Day Service will be held Monday morning at the City of Lubbock Cemetery at 2011 East 31st Street. There are more than 2,000 veterans buried there. The public is invited to attend the service which begins at 10am.

The 5th Annual "Red, White & Blue, We Honor You" Memorial Day celebration will be held on the West parking lot of the South Plains Mall Monday. A special memorial ceremony will be held at noon to honor the men and women who serve our country. Many activities are planned. The celebration runs from 10am-2pm.
