For some it was simply a place to go after school...for others, it was the heart of the neighborhood.
"This building has got lots and lots of memories to a lot of people and the neighborhood and the staff," said Larry Wilson the Assistant Executive Director of the Guadalupe Center.
Now, those memories are nothing more than a pile of rubble. A bulldozer tore down the Guadalupe Neighborhood Center Wednesday, one year after the building was condemned. Plans are underway to build a new center that would offer a community health clinic, gymnasium and meeting rooms. But, there is no money to rebuild unless the community helps raise the funds to do so.
