One person was injured following a five-car pileup in South Lubbock, Wednesday.Lubbock Police say it may have been caused by an ejected mattress.
It happened just after noon at the intersection of 74th and University. All five cars were traveling Southbound in the inside lane, when witnesses say the pickup lost part of its load. That started a chain reaction crash that damaged several vehicles.
One woman suffered moderate injuries. EMS took her to UMC for treatment.
