Construction on the 98th Street project was delayed Thursday afternoon, when a cement truck overturned.
According to police, the truck was Eastbound at 98th and Elgin, when a vehicle in front of it slammed on the brakes. 38-year-old Richard Louis Alderson tried to stop, but veered into a field to avoid hitting the other car. That's when the truck rolled over. The jaws of life were called to free him from the cab.
EMS took him to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
