A former Littlefield Junior High Coach will spend the next 14 years in prison for sexually assaulting one of his fourteen year old students.

Thursday afternoon, a Lamb County Judge sentenced Charles Jarrod Fisher on two counts of sexual assault of a minor. Each sentence is 14 years but will be served concurrently, along with the ten years he received for solicitation of a minor.

"It goes back to what the judge said, he was the grownup and it's his job and I'm a teacher, you're in the ultimate position to be trusted by all these people and you don't do those things," said Vicky Huber, the victim's aunt.

Fisher had no comment as he was escorted out of the jail and into the patrol car. The sentencing comes months after he pleaded guilty to those charges which stem from an incident with a 14-year-old girl last December.

The victim's family was present at Thursday's sentencing and they say they are relieved. "He brought all this on himself and he got what he deserved," said Carl Davis, the victim's grandfather.

Davis says his granddaughter is just happy the entire ordeal is over.
