While most pilots are in the plane when it's flying high in the air, Jimmy Franklin rides on top of it.
This is one of the main attractions at the 2005 South Plains Airshow in Slaton. Hundreds of people watched as Franklin wing-walked as his father piloted their jet-powered biplane. Some of the other performances included a WWII air battle re-enactment, aerobatic acts and military flybys and exhibitions.
If you missed the airshow, you can still see some of the planes at the Texas Air Museum at the Slaton Municipal Airport.
