A film, featuring the story of a Lubbock teen and her youth group's quest to bring sex education to the Lubbock Independent School District, debuted Tuesday night.
The American Association of University of Women sponsored two showings at the International Cultural Center. More than 100 people attended each showing. NewsChannel 11 found mixed reviews among the crowd.
"I think it's a very controversial issue and I thought it was something that should be discussed in Lubbock. I thought it was great." said one audience member.
"There wasn't that much diversity and they didn't get different points of view from different people." said another audience member.
You can also see the movie. It will air on PBS June 21st at 9 p.m.
