(Source: KCAL/KCBS/CNN) - A 911 operator who calmly talked a dad through his baby's birth got a visit from the father, mother and baby.

Katharine Farber, a 25-year-old rookie dispatcher for the Ventura County Fire Department, was on her seventh shift when she successfully walked Supreme Dow through the birth of his son.

Dow came to the dispatch center to thank Farber for her help in delivering three-week old Supreme Dow Jr.

When his wife, Tanisha, was in labor, Dow phoned 911.

Of the dispatcher, Dow said: "She spoke with conviction, with authority, but more importantly she sounded like she knew what she was doing, like she had been through this a million times."

Paramedics arrived two minutes after the baby was born.
