Lubbock ISD students will be able to wear camouflage clothing when they return to school in August. School board members voted to change the camo-ban in Thursday's meeting.
"I think since 9-11 patriotism has become very strong and a lot of our students would like to wear it and show support for the military," said Jack Booe, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education at LISD.
Camouflage was originally banned under a dress code rule to outlaw anything representative of fighting or gangs.
