Noon Notebook 3/2: Home and Garden Show kicks off Friday

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

The West Texas Home Builder's Association will kick off its annual Home and Garden Show on Friday, March 3rd.

The show runs from March 3rd through Sunday, March 5th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

Tickets are available at the door.

Adults are $5 and children are $2.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lubbock Homes for Heroes. 

Mitchell Anderson, the President of the West Texas Home Builders Association, said this year's theme is "Upgrade your Home - Upgrade your Life."

There will be expert presentations on topic including xeriscape landscaping, trends in residential windows, maximizing your home's efficiency, understanding spray foam insulation, and getting the tools you need to do the job.

Back by popular demand is the Lego Home Building Contest for kids. 

Children ages 6-12 can compete for prizes on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

There will also be an open division for ages 6 and up on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Check out the Parade of Homes booth promoting the upcoming June event which will feature some of Lubbock's finest builders in four premier developments: Foxridge, Estates at Vintage, Estates of Kelsey Park and Stone Bridge Townhomes.
