Lubbock judge appointed to Specialty Court Advisory Council by Gov. Greg Abbott

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Today Governor Greg Abbott reappointed a Lubbock judge to the specialty courts advisory council.

Ruben Reyes of Lubbock is the judge of the 72nd District Court. He is chairman of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, a member of the State Bar of Texas and former president of the Council of State Drug Court Associations and the Texas Association of Drug Court Professional. Reyes received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School.

Governor Abbott also appointed Jarvis Anderson of San Antonio and reappointed Ray Wheless of Allen.

Their terms are set to expire Feb. 1, 2023.
