On Friday, March 3, Frenship ISD received word of alleged inappropriate communication between an employee of the district and a student, according to Frenship ISD officials.
On Friday, KCBD NewsChannel 11 was alerted to the situation by students through emails and news tips and began looking into the allegations.The allegations were that a female teacher had inappropriate contact with male students.
The employee, who has not yet been identified by officials, was questioned that same day and turned in a letter of resignation later that afternoon. FISD officials said they immediately shared their findings with the proper authorities for further investigation.
The statement from FISD goes on to say:
Frenship ISD takes the responsibility of fostering a supportive and safe learning environment for our students very seriously. We hold our employees responsible for their public conduct even when they are not on active duty as district employees. Behavior that violates our standards is unacceptable.
