Commissioners Approve New Voting Machines

Lubbock County voters could be using new voting machines by October.

Monday, County Commissioners approved buying new electronic voting machines. A committee spent six months researching various machines before deciding on a model by Hart Intercivic.

The county will use a $1.5 million grant from the state to partially cover the $2.5 million cost.
