Website Launched To Help Raise Money For Public Safety Memorial

Lubbock will soon have a memorial to honor fallen first responders and will pay tribute to those officers who serve and protect Lubbock every day.

Ground was broken for the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial last September at Jack Stevens Park, located at 75th and Slide. Now, a new website is being launched to help raise money for the $2 million project. Bricks will be sold to honor fallen officers like Joyce Davis's son Jerry, a highway patrolmen from Tahoka who was killed in the line of duty.

"I think the memorial will be beautiful, but it's also a tribute, and if the guys could see it that were killed in the line of duty, they would smile." said Joyce Davis.

Bricks are being sold for $50 - $90, depending on size. You can also purchase T-shirts and mugs. Click here for more information.
