2 indicted, charged with aggravated assault of TTU student

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Two men were indicted by a Lubbock grand jury on Tuesday, charged with the aggravated assault of a Texas Tech student back in July of 2015.

Alfredo Lopez and Brad Duru were both indicted on charges of aggravated assault.

Lopez was also indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deal.

Gregory Avari was found severely injured and unresponsive on July 19, 2015 at the University Trails Apartments on Avenue V and Main.

According to a warrant, police also found more than $21,000 in drugs and a gun when they arrested Lopez at his home.
