Roadcheck 2005 Takes 1,500 Vehicles Off Road - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Texas Highways are safer thanks to a three-day inspection process called "Roadcheck 2005."

DPS Troopers inspected nearly 6,000 commercial vehicles at weigh stations across Texas last week. Here on the South Plains, troopers caught up with truckers along I-27 near Abernathy to inspect safety equipment and driver's licenses.

During Roadcheck, troopers took more than 1,500 vehicles and more than 2,000 drivers off the road.
