Lubbock city officials honored Governor Rick Perry's most recent judicial appointments with a special reception Friday.
Justice Phil Johnson has been appointed to the Texas Supreme Court. Justice Brian Quinn will now take over as Chief Justice on the 7th Court of appeals in Amarillo. District Judge Mackey Hancock will fill his current position also on the 7th Court of Appeals.
