Lubbock, TX- In the early 1900’s, The Salvation Army founder William Booth boiled the work of The Salvation Army down to “the three S’s”: soup, soap, and salvation. However, The Salvation Army of Lubbock is currently lacking in the soap department.

During 2016, The Salvation Army of Lubbock distributed 4,059 hygiene kits to individuals in need. The Salvation Army of Lubbock has served more individuals so far 2017 compared to the same time period last year. While the Lubbock Corps is excited to serve more people, the increase of service has led to a shortage in hygiene products.

The Salvation Army is requesting donations of health and hygiene products. Their current needs include: full size shampoo & conditioner, soap, body wash, baby shampoo, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss, hair brushes, combs, deodorant, and fingernail clippers. Donations can be dropped off from 9AM-5PM Monday through Friday at 1614 Avenue J. The Salvation Army is thankful for the continued support from the Lubbock community.
