The Lubbock School Board of Trustees is set to fill the vacant spot on the school board this week.
Doctor Erik Medina resigned from his District One position to pursue other opportunities. One week later, former City Councilman Victor Hernandez filed his resume for board appointment. Now, sources say former Lubbock Mayor David Langston has shown interest as a possible replacement.
LISD has not released the names of any other applicants. NewsChannel 11 has requested that information. We will follow the story and bring you the board's decision Wednesday.
