Agriculture powers our economy here on the South Plains, and that's why we're bringing you another year of Spotlight on Agriculture.
Over the next 20 weeks, we'll visit with experts from around the region, talking about a wide variety of topics related to farming and ranching.
Thirty-three percent of all of our regional economic activity can be tied back to agriculture. The cotton industry alone generates billions of dollars each year in retail economic activity, and studies have found that crop production supports more than 103,000 jobs.
Since we all eat, and wear clothes, agriculture affects all of us.
