Branson announced as Lubbock Christian volleyball coach

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Christa Branson has been announced by Lubbock Christian Schools as the newest head volleyball coach for the school.

Branson, who is originally from Aledo, is a Lubbock Christian University alumna who received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science, according to the school’s news release. While at LCU, she was also a volleyball player throughout all four years of her college career.

She also has five years of coaching experience in club volleyball as she heads into this new position.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to bring Christina Branson on to our coaching staff as our head volleyball coach. Her high level volleyball experience along with her ability to lead our girls spiritually makes her a great fit for our athletic department.” Chris Softley, LCS athletic director said in the release. “Here at Lubbock Christian we are working to integrate faith, work and yearning to see everything through the lens of the Gospel so that we can do all things associated with our sorts in a way that brings glory to the one true God.”
