LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Despite a long weather delay, the #2 Red Raiders won their 9th straight game beating Texas Southern 8-4 late Tuesday night. The game finished at 11:47pm.

It was the first ever meeting against the Tigers from the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

John McMillon and Connor Beck both hit home runs for Texas Tech, who moved to 23-4 on the season.

Tech will close out this 2 game midweek series at 2pm tomorrow at Rip Griffin Park.

After that the Red Raiders get back into Big 12 play visiting #17 Oklahoma over the weekend.
