High Number Of Fallen Firefighters Causes Local Responders To Review Safety

In less than two months, 50 fire fighters have died nationwide, in the line of duty. That's why Tuesday the Lubbock Fire Department participated in a stand down shift.

It allowed fire fighters, at every local station, time to check their gear, review safety guidelines and exercise. Firefighters also observed a moment of silence in honor of all fallen firefighters.
