LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

This weekend, the NCAA Final 4 is hosted in Phoenix, Arizona with North Carolina facing Oregon and Gonzaga playing South Carolina.

And one of the Oregon players has ties right here in Lubbock.

Oregon's Casey Benson is part of a Ducks team that's in the Final 4 for the first time since 1939.

Casey's mom Judy O'Banion Benson graduated from Lubbock in 1977.

She lives in Arizona where Casey was born so it's a homecoming for him with the Final 4 in Phoenix.

Casey still has family in Lubbock as his grandmother Sybil O'Banion and his uncle Scott O'Banion are quacking for the Ducks to win it all.

Casey's grandfather, Max O'Banion, coached basketball at Lubbock High before becoming principal at Coronado. The Mustangs baseball park, O'Banion Field, is named after him.

Good luck to Casey Benson and the Oregon Ducks this weekend.
