LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

34-year-old Abel Orozco is now in custody after Lubbock police received multiple calls about a reckless driver going the wrong way on Quaker.

The chase ended at a parking lot at 4th Street and Flint Avenue, but, police say the calls started on the other side of town.

Someone called police saying the driver of this van was going the wrong way, and driving erratically, near 98th Street and Frankford Avenue.

Calls continued as the driver traveled north on Quaker Avenue, at some point driving into oncoming traffic once again.

Police say he hit at least two other vehicles before he finally pulled into the Texas Tech Police station's parking lot.

Orozco was taken into custody. He is now facing charges of DWI, failure to stop and render aid, no insurance and failure to drive in a single lane.
