No. 6 Red Raiders roll over New Mexico

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The 6th-ranked Red Raider baseball team rebounded from Sunday's toss loss to Baylor by routing New Mexico 12-4 Tuesday afternoon at Rip Griffin Park.

The Red Raiders scored 3 in the 2nd inning highlighted by a Cody Farhat 2 RBI double. The Lobos rallied to take a 4-3 lead with 3 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th.

Texas Tech would tie it and retake the lead with 3 in the 5th as Michael Davis hit a 2 run homer.

The Red Raiders added 2 in the 6th and 3 in the 8th to pull away.

The Red Raiders had 11 hits on the afternoon. The Lobos left 16 runners on base.

Texas Tech is now 29-7 overall and 6-3 in conference.

This weekend's Big 12 series moved up to Thursday-Saturday due to Easter as Texas Tech will visit Kansas State.

Tech will then face New Mexico State in Midland next Tuesday and then host Oklahoma State Friday April 21st.
