The driver of an Excursion probably considers himself lucky. His SUV left the road around 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon and flipped near U.S. 84 and FM 179.
The driver, 46-year-old Jimmy Lee Wright of Dimmitt, was sitting outside the vehicle holding his head when DPS arrived. EMS took him to UMC. He has since been treated and released.
