LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith was in Lubbock Thursday night at the Keynote Speaker at the 15th Annual Mentor Tech Celebration Banquet.

Prior to that, Smith, who won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys, went and spoke to Kliff Kingsbury and the Red Raiders as they wrapped up Spring Drills.

I was honored to get to introduce Emmitt at the Mentor Tech Banquet. He tells me this is the first time he's ever come to Lubbock. However he said he had a message to encourage young people.

Emmitt Smith is still the NFL's All Time leading rusher with over 18,000 yards and today he is a successful businessman with real estate, construction and technology companies.
