WHITHARRAL, TX (KCBD) -

Whitharral didn't have to look far for their new head football coach.

Clayton Fryar will take over the Panthers Pigskin program. He's been the boys basketball coach at Whitharral the last five years. He will continue to coach the basketball team.

There's pigskin pride out in Whitharral where they won the 6-Man State Title in 1981 and 2001.

Fryar takes over for Michael Brand who left after four years to go to Gholson.
