Man behind bars, accused of robbing Dollar General with a pellet gun

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A man is behind bars Tuesday afternoon after police say he robbed a a Dollar General store with what turned out to be a pellet gun.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Dollar General at 2015 50th Street.

Police say 24-year-old Julian Mojica entered the store and selected some items. When he went to check out, he showed the clerk the handle of a handgun and told the clerk to give him money or he would shoot her.

Police say Mojica threw the gun under a carport after he left the store..

It turned out to be a pellet gun.

He was arrested and faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and robbery.
