Texas Tech vs. Eastern Washington game to remain on Sept. 2

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech announced Tuesday afternoon that the Red Raiders' 2017 season opener against Eastern Washington will remain on Saturday, Sept. 2.

Earlier today, Tech announced the game was moved to Sept. 3 after a request was made by the Big 12 and FOX Sports on Feb. 24, 2017, to change the date as part of Tech's third-tier agreement. Following discussions today with Eastern Washington, FOX Sports and the Big 12 office, it was decided to keep the game on Sept. 2.

The game will be televised on the FOX family of networks. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
