LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

West Texas is home to about 80 percent of the grapes in all of Texas wines, making the Lubbock area the uncontested capital of Texas grapes.

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is giving people on the South Plains a chance to taste wines from all over our great state while enjoying food from local restaurants and food trucks.

There will also be a selection of craft beers and live music by Luke Wade, No Dry Country, Grady Spencer with special guest, the Junior Vasquez Trio.

This year's Lubbock Uncorked event is taking place at the American Wind Power Center at 1701 Canyon Lake Drive.

The event will be on Friday, April 28th from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Buy tickets by clicking here or at the chamber office located at 1500 Broadway, Suite 101.

Advanced tickets sold through April 27th are $30.

Tickets at the gate are $40.

Tickets include 10 drink tasting tickets and a souvenir wine glass in addition to all of the live entertainment.
