Cruz challenger O'Rourke headed to Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

United States Representative Beto O'Rourke will be hosting a meet and greet with supporters on Sunday.

The event is scheduled for noon on Sunday at the Tornado Gallery located at 1822 Buddy Holly Ave. 

O'Rourke, a democrat who currently represents El Paso, launched a campaign for U.S. Senate in late March, according to an article in The Texas Tribune. He will be going up against current Senator Ted Cruz in the 2018 election. 

Anyone who wishes to go to the event is asked to RSVP through O'Rourkes campaign website.
