Abandoned Building Catches Fire In Central Lubbock

For the second time in about three months, an abandoned apartment building in Central Lubbock caught fire.

Fire fighters arrived on the scene at 9th and Avenue T, just after 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Within minutes, the building collapsed. The building is owned by McDougal properties and was slated for demolition.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
