Lubbock's population will grow by 80 people Wednesday. That's when the city will annex two square miles of land into Lubbock. The land is located between Indiana and Slide, just south of 1585.
The annexation means 80 people and 35 businesses will move into the city limits. Beginning Wednesday, fire and police services will be available to that area. Trash service will start within ten days and new street signs will be added soon.
