Guns can be found in 40% of all American households with children. Every eight hours a child is killed or injured by a firearm. That's why, Project Child-Safe is distributing free gun locks to parents. The locks will prevent a gun from firing if a child handles it.
You can get your free locks this week at the Kmart at 6201 University. Project child-safe representatives will be there from 2-7 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday.
