It took a Lubbock Jury just over 30 minutes to sentence a murderer to life in prison.

The sentence came shortly after that same jury found Terrance Rhone guilty in the shooting death of Larry Isaac Junior. Rhone shot Isaac last July in the parking lot of an East Lubbock car wash. Isaac died as a result of those injuries six weeks later.

Thursday afternoon, Isaac's father, said justice was served. "It was a victory for my son because he's not here to defend himself, and let everyone know what really happened. I'm just glad that the verdict came out the way it did," said Larry Isaac Sr.

In addition to Rhone's sentence, he must pay a $10,000 fine.
