Former Lubbock Judge Invested As Justice In Amarillo Appeals Court

Mackey Hancock was invested as Justice of the Court of Appeals for the 7th District of Texas.

The ceremony took place in Amarillo Friday afternoon. Governor Rick Perry appointed Hancock to the position.

"I've been trying lawsuits as a trial judge for 18 of the last 20 years in either the County Court of Law or the District Court level, so I feel like it's a natural progression." said Judge Mackey Hancock.

Up until now, Hancock has been serving as a District Judge in Lubbock.
