Suspect At Large After Overnight Club Shooting

Two people are injured following an overnight shooting outside a Lubbock bar and the man responsible remains on the loose.

It happened early Monday Morning at El Rodeo, at 48th Street & Avenue Q. We're told it all started inside the bar, where two men had some sort of argument. Police say the fight between the two men escalated and moved outside where one of the men pulled out a gun and fired shots at the other. The 32-year-old victim received a gun shot wound to the left calf.  Amazingly, that same bullet also injured a 23-year-old female in the toe, possibly from the bullet ricocheting off of the male victim. Both victims received minor to moderate injuries and both were treated at University Medical Center.

Witnesses attempted to capture the suspect but he was able to escape. The two victims describe the suspect as a Hispanic male. Police ask that you call crime line at 741-1000 if you have any information regarding this crime, specifically the whereabouts of the male suspect. This is at least the second shooting at a Lubbock bar this year.
