County Commissioner Chooses Giving Instead Of Receiving Raise - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

County Commissioners are giving themselves and fourteen other elected officials a $1,000 pay raise. However, one county commissioner isn't taking it.

Ysidro Gutierrez voted against the pay raise and he told NewsChannel 11 Monday, he will donate the $1,000 to the Catholic Diocese of Lubbock. Next year, the other three county commissioners will earn $53,000. The Lubbock County Judge will get $76,000. Sheriff David Gutierrez will be paid $77,000.
