Lubbock County To Begin Voting Electronically

The way you vote in Lubbock County is changing, thanks to the Help America Vote Act.

Monday County Commissioners approved a $2.6 million purchase of 800 electronic voting machines. The county is paying $1 million of the cost and grant money will cover the rest. Nine-hundred election workers will begin training this summer so machines can be used for early voting in October.
