Chemical in the Brain Could Trigger Anorexia

At the University of Pittsburgh, researchers think they've discovered a trigger for anorexia.

Using pet scans, they've found that women with anorexia were more likely to have increased activity of a specific chemical in an area of the brain that is responsible for learning and making choices, and they say that may explain why anorexics develop obsessions and respond differently to food.
